question
I have doubts about a number of vases made by Vest according to the sellers. I am almost certain that they were not made by you.
Just to be sure, I just ask it. For comparison purposes, I have placed them next to a well-known Vest vase.
answer Hugo and Marius
The glaze looks like our glaze. If the vase is hand-formed, the corners should be sharper and not around. The vase must be very heavy. If it is much lighter you can be sure that we haven't made.
note
The vase is not heavy. It is made by Jopeko (model 210/6). The glaze is widely used and is called Paris.
note
The vase is made by Jopeko (model 210/10) and the glaze is called Alaska. Often this glaze was combined with shining red or green glaze.
.
note
The vase is indeed made by Jopeko (model 211). The name of the glaze is not known.
note
The foot is called a Jacoba foot. It is recognizable by the impressions of a finger or thumb.
The vase is made by Prosman. Prosman used a shiny, very smooth glaze. The ridges are also much smoother.
note
Prosman is very unlikely. He used no red clay.
Vest has never had a bottom of red clay with a standring (raised edge of the bottom).
